Have you discovered an interest in impact play and want to try spanking with an actual whip? But what if you don’t like leather, whether that’s because you’re vegan or just against it? The Saffron Flogger by Sportsheets, available from BettysToyBox.com, is your answer!

Once you’ve discovered your love for spankings, you’ll want to explore the possibilities and the different sensations. A flogger is a very different experience from a cane, for example. And within the world of available floggers, there is a broad range you get to select from. Many are made of leather or suede. Some are heavier and fuller than others. And then there is the Saffron Flogger by Sportsheets. It looks enticing in the pictures, but how good is it in real life and actual use?

Packaging and Description

The Saffron Flogger by Sportsheets comes delivered in plastic wrapping. The handle is made of nickel-free metal, perfect for those allergic to nickel. The black and red strands are made of faux leather. The handle is quite heavy. It’s fifteen centimetres long. The strands are 42 cms long.

The product is well-finished and looks high-quality. Everything is well-cut, and there are no loose threads. The flogger looks very stylish with the metal handle and the red and black PU leather. It certainly doesn’t look cheap.

My Experience

I think eighty per cent of my whips are made of genuine leather, so I definitely know how that feels. However, I can say, in all honesty, I feel little difference between this saffron flogger made of PU and the leather ones.

The quality of PU leather has improved dramatically over the past few years. Where in the past, it was obviously synthetic and often plastic material. Nowadays, it’s hard to tell the difference. I can attest my ass agrees with this statement, as it hurt nearly as much.

My Dominant did mention he needed a bit larger swing than usual. I enjoyed being whipped with this implement. It hurt, yes, but it was a good experience.

Conclusion

It was believed that ‘true BDSM’ required tools made of genuine leather back in the day. Nowadays, plenty of people are buying synthetic versions of their favourite toys. They can be vegan, vegetarian or simply looking at the costs. The Saffron Flogger by Sportsheets is an excellent alternative. The design is magnificent, cost-efficient, and I promise you that being spanked with it hurts, in the right way 😉
