Liebe Seele Review Wine Red – Leather Collar with Leash, Rose Gold Metal Hardware

It’s not often you encounter decent BDSM gear when ordering online. In my twenty years of being in the BDSM community, this has happened only three times. Most companies will ship you mediocre products for a premium price.
When Liebe Seele asked me to review their products, I was sceptical. It wasn’t until I had the box with their products in my hands that I acknowledged the quality of their goods. Because it is high quality. As you could see in my review of the Liebe Seele Wine Red Leather Handcuffs, I was very enthusiastic about the cuffs. And, well, spoiler alert, this collar comes from the same product line, so yes, I love this item too – for many, many reasons.

Packaging and Description

This Liebe Seele Wine Red Leather Collar comes in a small black box. A carton sleeve covers the box, wonderfully decorated in Japanese signs and pictures of the product. Unfortunately, I don’t read or speak Japanese, so I don’t know what it says.
When you open the box, you encounter another stylish bit of packaging. It’s another paper sleeve that somehow makes the product look extra luxurious. It’s something I expect in the packaging of high-end products, the kind I usually cannot afford.

What you encounter straight away is the smell of leather once you open the box. It makes it clear it’s genuine leather and not the cheap PU leather other manufacturers often use.
And then the collar itself. It looks, smells and feels beautiful. I love the colour combination of the wine red leather combined with the black elements and the rose gold hardware. I have a few friends who want all their BDSM gear to be in red and black, and I think this line of products would fit perfectly in their collection.
The collar is well put together. The stitching is even, and they paid attention to every little detail. There are three D-rings on top, which make for plenty of possibilities. Even the buckle itself is sturdy and decent. Nowhere did Liebe Seele choose the lighter, cheaper options.

The collar consists of two layers of leather. Even though there’s no padding inside, the leather is pliable and soft enough to be comfortable around your neck, for as far as a collar can be pleasant, of course.
The chain leading to the leash is heavy. The loop at the end is, naturally, made of leather and has the same even stitching as all of the product.

My Experience

Wearing the collar is entirely in line with what I found beforehand. Something I particularly love is that no metal touches my skin while wearing it. In cheaper models, you sometimes find studs through the leather, which will touch the skin. Since I have an allergy to metals touching my skin, except for gold and titanium, this means I can wear this collar for a longer time.
I thought it was a comfortable collar. It’s not too broad, though; of course, you will still feel it. The leash functions well, too, though it’s not my favourite part of the set. But that’s just a personal preference :p

Conclusion

The Wine Red – Leather Collar with Leash, Rose Gold Metal Hardware by Liebe Seele is one of the best collars I own, and we’ve tried plenty. It fits comfortably, it’s high quality, and it feels like it will last a long time. And the price isn’t too high either. Honestly, I expected to pay a lot more for a product with this level of quality. I’m happy to see companies out there who can provide a good product for a reasonable price. When you’re serious about your BDSM relationship, I will definitely recommend this line of products and this company. We will probably favour their products over the ones we had before. They’re just that good.
