Review of Je Joue Mimi Clitoral and External Vibrator – Lilac

When you scroll through their products, you can see they make their brand true: ‘Sophisticated, elegantly naughty and a sensual treat.’ I love how flowy and beautiful all their products look. And from what I remember from years ago, when I tested one of their products, the quality was extremely high. I received a set of their products to try, so in the upcoming weeks, you will see several of their toys on this website.

The first one is the little ‘Mimi.’ It’s a small clitoral and external vibrator. Oftentimes, these small ones are my favourites. They’re easy to take out of your nightstand, they often don’t require any lubricant, and it’s basically ‘plug-and-go.’ They’re perfect for quickies in the morning or late at night when you have trouble sleeping.

I need to set one thing straight. When I unpacked this toy, I expected it to be soft and cuddly. It’s not. When I checked the website, I saw I had misremembered the features of this product. There is another version of the Mimi Vibrator, which is soft and cuddly and is aptly named ‘Mimi Soft Clitoral Vibrator.’ The one I am reviewing is the non-soft variant. It definitely isn’t unpleasant to touch. Even this vibrator is covered in soft silicone, which feels pleasant. You can feel the more rigid material underneath. Now we have that cleared up, let’s continue the review.

Packaging and Description

The small Mimi comes delivered in a carton box. I love how the JeJoue box feels soft and velvety, even though you can’t see it. It adds that extra layer of luxuriousness you don’t often encounter in a sex toy.
Once you open the box, it still looks and feels like a high-quality product. The vibrator has its own part of the box but isn’t wrapped in extra plastic, which I applaud. In the box are also a manual, a leaflet about JeJoue and a charging cable. The only thing missing is a storage pouch. The manual is pretty minimal. It only tells you to clean the product properly before the first use and after every use. It also says you can hold the Mimi in your hand for lighter stimulation while you stroke yourself or your partner with your fingers. There are no illustrations with the text nor a description of which button does what. The toy has only three buttons, so it’s pretty self-explanatory.

The plus button turns the vibrator on and increases the strength of the vibrations. The minus button turns the toy off and diminishes the power of the vibrations. The squiggly button in the middle cycles through the seven different patterns. I love the small heart-shaped led you see when the toy is turned on, it’s another lovely little detail.

I hardly dare say it, but I also love the charging cable. Well, Liz, now you’re just making it up. No, I literally said: ‘oh wow, that’s so cool’ when I first connected the cable. The connector fits over the buttons and snaps into place magnetically. I love that it has the JeJoue logo on top, and it clearly fits the product, so I will never have to wonder which toy belongs to this cable, which is often an issue in my house :p
It’s such a simple solution, similar to WeVibe’s connector, and I wish more brands would develop a cable like this.

The toy’s dimensions are 5 by 8 centimetres and about 2,5 centimetres high. The product is, as I said, covered in soft silicone, and it’s waterproof. It is also whisper-quiet. This is quite a feat since the vibrations are powerful and, according to their packaging: ‘oh-so-low rumbling.’ In my experience, these deep vibrations often do the trick, so I hope it will work with this one too.

When you look at the product page at Jejoue.com, you can see they really thought about the concept of this product. You can use it in the way that it’s easiest to hold the toy, but you can also lay it flat, so you’ll have a broader range of stimulation or turn it sideways to stimulate the clitoris and labia at the same time. I find it amazing they incorporated all these options in this seemingly simple product.

My Experience

The Je Joue Mimi Vibrator was everything I had hoped it to be. It’s easy to turn the toy on and get it buzzing with the correct vibrations. Getting it in the right spot was also simple. The vibrations were as deep as I expected them. I love the low drum, which brought me to a quick and satisfying orgasm. And, not unimportant either, it’s easy to turn the vibrator off after the fact.

Conclusion

Sometimes you get a toy in your hands, and you know it’s a winner from the start. That’s how I feel about the Je Joue Mimi Clitoral and External Vibrator. It already begins with the luxurious packaging, the nifty charging cable and the silky-smooth texture of the vibrator. When you learn the toy can be turned and used in different positions and was designed for this, I can understand why it has won an award. It’s a perfect toy for both beginners and more experienced users. It has a low-vibration mode, but it’s definitely strong enough once in full gear. It’s good to use solo and with a partner because of its broader surface. And yes, you can use it for a full body massage, too; it’s not restricted to just the genital areas. For me, this is one of those toys that will live in the top drawer of my nightstand, as it’s easy to grab and use at any moment. To me, it’s a winner all around.
